Your Role
As the Residential House Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned CILA homes in the Chicagoland area and provide case management services to those who reside within those homes.
- Coordination and management of the overall operations, medical, financial, and maintenance aspects of assigned CILAs.
- Responsible for overseeing implementation of personal support plans and behavioral plans, Sertoma Star Services’ policies and procedures, assess the needs of an individual on a continual basis.
- Create implementation strategies.
- Assist individuals supported with the applications and receipts of unearned income sources (ex- Medicaid, Social Security) and all applicable generic services.
- Coordinate and facilitate communication for Interdisciplinary team members that may include ISC, Community Day Services representatives, Employment Services, ABA Therapist, family or legal guardians, and neighbors.
- Have a working knowledge of people supported current medical conditions.
- Assist people supported with the management of medication and doctor appointments.
- Assist people supported with maintaining and reviewing all documentation concerning medical information in accordance with DHS regulations as it relates to Rule 116.
- Responsible for Interviewing, hiring, evaluations, and maintaining proper training and development of high-quality staff for direct support professional (DSP) positions.
- Maintain schedules for multiple sites; submit payroll information in a timely manner.
- Act as a liaison between people supported and their family, New Star and outside agencies.
- Advocate on behalf of people on assigned case load.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Must be able to safely lift and carry at least 50 lbs.
- Must be able to safely bend, twist, push, pull and reach.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services field preferred
- At least 1 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities
- At least one year of supervisory experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational and Time Management skills
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office- Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- BA in social service area of study. Ability to be QIDP certified.
- DSP certified, preferred
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and meet agency driving requirements
- Ability to wear PPE gear
- Preferably have experience in an educational environment

Salary : $43,888 - $47,000
