We are currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to support our operations by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy machinery and oilfield equipment. If you have expertise in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, we want to hear from you.
As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of Serva’s oilfield equipment. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Assemble and repair heavy machinery and mechanical components per specifications
- Diagnose and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
- Inspect and maintain critical components, ensuring reliability and efficiency
- Ensure safety and compliance by following all company and industry safety protocols
- Report issues related to parts failures or operational inefficiencies to management
- Support team efforts by collaborating with engineers, site leaders, and fellow technicians
- Perform additional duties as needed
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum of five years working with heavy equipment or oilfield machinery, ideally within Cementing, Stimulation, or Pressure Control
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues
- Work Ethic: Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team
- Safety Commitment: Adherence to workplace safety standards and hazardous waste disposal procedures
- Additional Requirements: Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, motor vehicle check, and background check
- Must comply with company dress code and professional conduct standards
- Work is performed in manufacturing areas requiring personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots
- Physical activity includes standing, climbing, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting within company guidelines
