POSITION SUMMARY:
This position operates within the scope of final assembly, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and functions as part of the operations team. This position reports to the Final Assembly – Test Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
This position is responsible for all the following:
• Work every scheduled workday including weekends and overtime as required.
• Understand and comply with all PPE requirements at all times, work safely every day and encourage all team members to do the same.
• Read and interpret blueprints, bills of material, and work instructions as necessary to perform each assigned task.
• Perform all tasks per established quality and efficiency standards.
• Provide training and assistance to other employees as assigned.
• Follow action and communication protocols for nonstandard deviation in processes or materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
• Commitment to a safety culture where safety is the first consideration before starting any task.
• Capable of learning and reading hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
• Proficient in operating overhead crane.
• Proficient in basic material handling techniques.
• Proficient in basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to receive both written and verbal assignments.
• Proficient in problem analysis and resolution.
• Effective and willing communicator.
• Strong team player.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Creativity, initiative, detail-oriented, results-focused
• Self-motivated and can work with moderate direction and mentoring.
• Personal motivation for success.
• High School Diploma, GED or similar experience.
• Vocational school/training.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• The performance of this position will require exposure to areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes and other mandatory safety equipment.
• For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Sit or Stand as needed
• Standing and walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day
• Reaching, pushing, pulling or lifting as required within limits set by Entrans International LLC.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen
