Job Summary & Essential Functions : Responsible for administering programs, procedures, and plans used in carrying out human resources policies as well as providing guidance to managers, supervisors, team leaders, and employees on various human resources policies under the direction of the Human Resource Manager.
Generalist specific duties and responsibilities 75%
- Consult with hiring managers to understand their business and staffing needs; determine and
execute optimal courses of action to source, screen, recruit and present qualified, diverse talent
Screen resumes / applications and test applicantsDevelop official internal documents such as offer letters and appointments letters.Coordinate new employee orientation (policies, pay data, benefits, etc.)Participate in employee relations / documentation / intervention / corrective actions of employeesManage physical and digital files for employees and their documents, including coordinating sensitive conversations and engaging employees.Manage documents including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews.Contact employment attorney for advice, after approval from managementConducting exit interviewsAssist Labor and Industries with workers compensation claims, FMLA and ADA administrationAttend seminars and ensure consistent application of HR policies, practices and procedures, and compliance with federal and state laws and regulationsParticipate on various committees and projects assignedExperience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking SystemsATS)
Evaluate employee performance, including assisting with the implementation and analytics ofannual review system
Collaborate with other members of the Human Resources department to oversee the hiring andonboarding process for new employees.

Assist in reviewing employee timesheets weekly using Payroll system (Paylocity) assist with bi-weekly payroll in Paylocity, including proper benefits, tax and other withholdings.
Provide bi-weekly, monthly and annual payroll reports to General Manager if needed.Streamline the payroll process; updates and maintain written payroll policies and proceduresProvides timely response to all payroll inquiries from internal and external customersPrepare and process direct deposits, benefits, and 401k deductionsMaintain confidentiality regarding accounting and payroll informationEducation and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educationMinimum 3-5 years’ experience as a generalist in HRManufacturing experience 1-3 years’Strong organizational and time management skillsDetail-oriented with excellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to maintain highly confidential informationExcellent verbal and written English communication skillsSoftware experience with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) is necessaryQualifications - Preferred
