Serve is looking for a Sr. NPI Manufacturing Engineer to manage New Product Introduction (NPI) for the HW team as an individual contributor focusing on sub-module assemblies. Successful candidates will have a proven capability for technical program management, international and domestic contract manufacturer bring up, strong organizational skills and experience in various metal / plastic manufacturing processes. This role requires someone who is hands on while having a strategic mindset with a deep understanding of hardware development and manufacturing processes. No task is too small or too big - execution is key.
Responsibilities
- Plays a pivotal role in driving full factory bring up from SOP development, process flow planning, supplier management ensuring robots are built to Serve's specifications
- Collaborates with design engineering teams to evaluate manufacturability of current designs, provides Design for Manufacturability / Assembly / Cost (DFx) input to engineering teams, and identifies critical steps for further improvement
- Defines and manages initial prototype lines for module and system level assembly
- Manages all manufacturing documentation in support of launch including manufacturing line specifications, equipment specifications, and process validation protocols / reports
- Drives accountability for decisions and deliverables with cross functional teams throughout the NPI lifecycle through bill of materials, engineering change request management
