Plumbing Dispatcher

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring efficient fleet management, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients. This role requires a strong understanding of transportation management systems and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Manage and coordinate daily dispatch operations to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Utilize Oracle Transportation Management and AS400 systems for tracking shipments and managing schedules.
• Communicate effectively with drivers regarding routes, schedules, and any changes that may arise.
• Monitor fleet performance and assist in transportation planning to optimize efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including logs of phone communications and transportation details.
• Utilize GIS tools to analyze routes and improve delivery times.
• Provide support in resolving issues related to deliveries or fleet operations as they arise.

Skills

• Proficient in using transportation management systems, including Oracle Transportation Management and AS400.
• Strong phone etiquette with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally over various phone systems.
• Knowledge of fleet management practices and transportation planning strategies.
• Ability to type efficiently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Familiarity with GIS technology for route optimization is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate dispatching processes.
