Armed Security Officer Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, professional, dedicated armed security professional to be on call to help cover vacations, and during high seasons.
Armed Security JOB DESCRIPTION
- Provide Armed Security protection for personnel and property from crimes of violence, theft, sabotage, or customer or crowd disturbances.
- Follow procedures to deal with crowd control, disturbed persons and other such situations that may arise in this office setting.
- Conduct foot patrols to look for illegal parking, potential threats to property, activism, and protests.
- Perform surveillance and provide access control of persons, vehicles, and other property.
- Take prompt action on any breach of security, suspicious activity, or safety hazard to prevent or minimize losses, accidents, fires, property damages, safety hazards and security incidents.
- Actively strive to minimize the risk of fires, explosion, or similar incidents by promptly reporting the potentially hazardous conditions and items in need of repair to office personnel.
- React decisively to emergencies such as fire, threats, explosion, personnel in need of immediate medical attention, and civil defense actions, including notification of proper authorities, evacuation of personnel and guiding fire and/or rescue personnel to the scene.
- Provide assistance to personnel in need of aid involving incidents such as storms, hazardous road conditions, damaged utilities, and other similar conditions.
- Ensure that all articles of possible personal or monetary value found on the premises of this installation are turned over to the office personnel.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a valid Armed BSIS License
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to legally work in the United States
- Ability to retain composure and perform under pressure and to know when to call for assistance
- Ability to meet and deal effectively with the general public
- Ability to give instructions clearly and concisely, firmly but diplomatically
- Ability to construct and write clear, concise, accurate and detailed reports
- Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
- Ability to wear and use all protective equipment
- Must have any combination of at least years of physical security (armed or unarmed), service with the US Armed Forces, associate, degree in Security or Law Enforcement or a related field, and/ or completion of police officer’s basic training academy
- Must possess valid licenses and permits to carry firearms in the State of California and perform armed security services
