What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Direct Support Professional, (Thurston, Mason, Grays) position at Service Alternatives?
Job Summary:
The Youth Direct Support Professional (YDSP) is responsible for the direct care and supervision of youth in varying age groups of up to 18 years old. Every day, you'll be engaging with and mentoring at-risk youth, showing them new tools towards a better life. Care and supervision may be provided in a variety of settings, including foster homes, family homes, and the community.
Starting Wage: $20
Program: 32
Locations: Thurston, Lewis, Grays Harbor, Mason County
Shifts: 2pm - 7pm Monday - Friday
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent High School Diploma or equivalent and one-year related experience working with youth
- Have a clear criminal history and pass a background check
- Be at least 21 or older
- Be able to show proof of education
Licensing and Certifications:
- Currently have or within 30 days of being hired CPR/First Aid license
- Current driver license, car, and car insurance.
- TB Test: Within 7 days of first day of employment, or prior to working on site (whichever comes first)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human services or related field.
