Position: Installation Technician – Level I
Description: The district is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Level I Installation Technician to assist in installing voice/data systems and other communication systems for the Technical Services Department. This position will report directly to the Installation Supervisor. The person will work closely with personnel in the Technical Services Department and all other departments.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED
Valid Texas driver’s license
Preference will be given to applicants who:
- Have experience installing cables for communication systems.
- Use computers to complete work orders and research parts.
- Logically troubleshoot technical problems.
- Able to read and interpret schematics and architectural drawings.
- Highly organized, detail oriented and able to work within a high-pressure environment.
- Willing to work overtime when required.
- Possess effective communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work on ladders, lifts, scaffolds, in attics and crawl under floors.
- Able to lift (75) pounds.
