What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contact Center Membership Representative position at Service Credit Union?
Service Credit Union is seeking a Contact Center Membership Representative who will serve as the primary point of contact for establishing membership via phone or online. The membership team is responsible for all stages of establishing the account/membership process. This includes review of the application, documents, reports (ID Verification, Debit Bureau Summary and Credit Bureau), rendering a decision, funding, sending out necessary documents to sign and their welcome email. They will also be responsible for membership promotions that includes a payment incentive (pays2know, refer a friend, etc.). Additionally they will review and open sub accounts for existing members initiated via the web.
Pay: Starting at $19.00 per hour. Flexible based on experience.
Hours: Monday-Friday 10:30am-7:00pm with rotating Saturdays

The Day to Day:
- Provide and communicate file status as well as clear and concise instructions as to necessary documentation required for membership funding.
- Make sound decisions on all applications.
- Perform routine follow up with membership applicants to complete the account opening process.
- Familiar with standard, practices, and procedures in processing and underwriting membership applications, reviewing and analyzing data and applicant documentation.
- Prioritize workload to manage timely membership/account funding’s and track new members to welcome.
- When applicable make cross sell recommendations to new and existing members.
Experience and Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Strong knowledge of current Membership Onboarding system.
- Ability to analyze government issued IDs.
- Ability to decision all applications.
- Prior success cross selling additional accounts.
- Able to identify problems, recommend enhancements, and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing.
- Proficient with Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power point, and various web-based applications required.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
