Founded in 2010, the organization has expanded its scope to include various programs such as a prison-based puppy training initiative and a Facility Dog program that provides specially trained dogs that work with people in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, and courthouses
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Dog Trainer located in Hope Hull, AL. At Service Dogs Alabama, we use all positive reinforcement training practices. The Dog Trainer will be responsible for training and caring for service dogs, providing customer service to clients and volunteers, understanding animal behavior, and conducting training sessions.
Qualifications
- Dog Training and Animal Behavior skills
- Experience in Pet Care and Training
- Customer Service skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Certification in Dog Training or related field is a plus
- Passion for helping individuals with disabilities
Salary : $15 - $18
