POSITION – Gel Coat Technician
JOB LOCATION – Gillett, WI
STARTING DATE – ASAP
EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temp to Hire
EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – Monday - Friday; 6am - 2:30pm
STARTING PAY – $17.00/hr *$2/hrAttendance Bonus for each pay period if you have no unexcused absences for the pay period.
REQUIRED EDUCATION –
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply gelcoat to molds using an atomized spray gun process system.
- Calibrate and apply gelcoat consistent with quality standards.
- Read and understand work orders to apply gelcoat based on production order specifications.
- Maintain gelcoat equipment through periodic and routine maintenance.
- Assist in manually moving molds in and out of gelcoat booth.
- Perform general housekeeping of the work are and equipment.
- Assist in changing out 55-gallon pails of material at gel pumps.
- Make sound quality decisions independently as required.
* QUALIFICATIONS*
- Good knowledge and understanding of gelcoat processes.
- Ability to understand and execute top quality expectations.
- Ability to read and understand the uses of a mil gauge.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with management and subordinates.
- General math skills required.
- Prompt and reliable attendance so we can meet our customer needs.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- A willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing production needs.
- Ability to manually move product and materials up to 50 lbs. through physical exertion, including but not limited to climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and bending.
