POSITION – Diesel Technician
JOB LOCATION – Cambria, WI
STARTING DATE – Flexible
EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temp to hire, Skilled
EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 6am-2:30pm
STARTING PAY – $27-30 DOE
REQUIRED EDUCATION – Diploma or GED
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
· High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in the industry preferred
- Previous experience as a diesel mechanic preferred
- Need to have complete set of tools (Specialized tools are owned by us)
- Self-motivated and able to function as part of a team
- Ability to utilize Human Resource Information System (HRIS) software
- Demonstrates time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service trucking fleet
- Comfortable working in awkward positions or cramped spaces
- Experience with or ability to learn company’s EAM system
- Valid state commercial driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record
Responsibilities:
· Install and test products, equipment, and machinery and provide instructions to drivers on proper usage
- Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve or repair issues
- Inspect various parts of trucks and trailers, including brake systems, wheel bearings, and steering mechanisms to
- ensure they are in the proper condition to operate effectively
- Follows a schedule for recommended replacement of fleet vehicles
- Follows procedures, policies, and safety protocols
- Collaborates with Managers and other Service Technicians
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned
