Essential Functions

- Managing HVAC Service business to achieve annual revenue, gross margin and operating margin budgets.
- Participate in developing annual revenue, gross margin and operating margin budgets for review and approval.
- Managing all direct reports and recruiting for new hires.
- Participating on Maxair management team.
- Marketing and sales as necessary to maintain backlog and revenue goals.
- Oversee RFPs, make Go / No-Go decisions and delegate to appropriate Account Manager.
- Maintain key customer relationships.
- Resolving customer concerns and complaints in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner.
- Planning, organizing, controlling, and coordinating all aspects of the HVAC Service Group.
- Scheduling labor to meet our customers’ needs while factoring in the complexity of the job against the capabilities of the available technicians.
- Maintaining liaison with the President and the Accounting Manager on problems with accounts receivables.
- Developing and maintaining familiarity with all Maxair offerings.
- Maintaining and improving leadership skills via self-study, seminars, etc.
- Training designated employees in proper procedures, practices, and promotion of Maxair quality standards and corporate mission.
- Working with other department managers and employees in support of all facets of the group.
- Working with other department managers in support of the corporate goals, mission, and vision.
- Managing the necessary administrative records and controls to protect the interests of the corporation and the customer, to include prompt and accurate invoicing.
- Working with suppliers and vendors on pricing, performance, reliability, and availability.
- Providing bi-annual performance appraisals for all HVAC Service Group employees.
- Performing management level duties as directed by the Vice President or President.
- Implementing quality control procedures for the HVAC Service Group to ensure optimal customer service, efficient use of equipment and time, and meeting departmental strategic and budgetary goals.
- Fosters a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive to maximize employee morale and productivity.
- Develops individuals for future advancement.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for leadership, performance management and hiring of the employees within its department.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8 : 00am to 5pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area travel and overnight may be expected.

Work Authorization / Security Clearance
Ability to be insurable by Maxair’s insurance carrier.
Ability to pass a drug test and a background screening.
