Service Metal is seeking a motivated and experienced leader to join our Operations team as a Regional Operations Manager. This role is a critical part of our expanding warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity across multiple locations.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Regional Operations Manager will provide leadership and oversight to multiple warehouse locations, ensuring operational excellence in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and inventory accuracy. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring frequent travel between locations. The Regional Operations Manager will report to the Vice President of Operations and play a key role in driving efficiency, implementing best practices, and fostering a high-performance culture across the company's warehouse operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and mentor Warehouse Managers, creating a structure for a highly engaged and efficient workforce.
- Drive operational excellence by optimizing safety, quality, productivity, and inventory accuracy.
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations and special projects, ensuring best practices are consistently implemented.
- Ensure warehouse facilities and equipment are properly maintained and compliant with all safety and regulatory standards.
- Develop and manage the annual warehouse budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Identify, implement, and document new technologies and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching for warehouse staff.
- Partner with HR to support hiring, promotions, and workforce planning within the warehouse operations team.
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align warehouse operations with company goals.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Management, Logistics, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within warehouse or operations management.
- Strong understanding of warehouse best practices, including safety compliance and inventory control.
- Experience managing exempt and non-exempt employees across multiple locations.
- Proficiency with warehouse management software and tools (SAP B1, PDMX, MyCarrier, MetalTrace, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and high-pressure situations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL:
- Office & Warehouse Setting: Must be comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments.
- Up to 25% travel required to visit Service Metal locations.
- Flexible Schedule: Must be available outside of normal business hours as needed.
