Position Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks. Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more areas (example carpentry, painting, building repairs). Contacts and manages contract vendor relationships including receiving bids and making recommendations for approval within budget parameters. Supports and promotes the Credit Union's Vision, Mission, Culture, and Core Values.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responds and follows up on maintenance requests through close.
- Order facilities equipment, arranges delivery, and picks up organization orders as needed.
- Maintains a monthly PM checklist for each branch including inspections of inside and outside of each branch. Maintains repairs and makes recommendations based on the checklist.
- Maintains facilities to ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and fire standards.
- Manages and schedules contract vendors being present with them onsite and ensuring final work meets expectations.
- Reviews maintenance invoices and submits for approval for payment.
- Paint areas as needed.
- Performs other maintenance repairs within ability.
- Change filters as needed.
- Move or arrange furniture as needed.
- Change lightbulbs, interior and exterior as needed.
- On call maintenance as needed for urgent issues.
- Must be flexible and have the ability to perform, contact vendors, or oversee maintenance projects off hours or weekends as needed.
- Must have the ability to travel to branches out of town as needed.
- Performs such other duties as may be required from time to time for the overall management and operation of the Credit Union.
Educational/Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years minimum of demonstrated maintenance/facilities experience
