Job Overview
Service Pallet, LLC is a leading provider of quality wood pallets, crates and industrial lumber that serves the manufacturing, distribution and warehouse sectors.
We are seeking a highly motivated and results driven Inside Sales Representative to join our team. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, networking and other lead generation activities. Target markets are customers with repetitive purchase needs.
This inside sales position is an excellent opportunity for an entry level candidate to break into the pallet industry. The expectation is to drive sales revenue growth and increase individual compensation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Report to Sales Manager and President.
- Work full-time in an office position, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm.
- Support the Outside Sales team with direct sales support in all sales prospecting and sales activities, including customer inquiries. Liaison between the customer and Outside Sales.
- Always have a professional, pleasant and positive demeanor when dealing with all customers, vendors and in all business interactions.
- Work with sales team to generate quotes, proposals and assist with customer RFQ's.
- Enter and process orders from an initial order to complete execution of order. Includes contacting the vendor, working with production and/or working with dispatch, as appropriate.
- Manage prospecting for current sales leads and distribution to the sales team or in-house development.
- Continue sales prospecting as an on-going task with the objective of bringing in sales leads, contacting new prospects and helping to increase sales revenue by assisting Outside Sales in adding new customers.
- Maintain and update contact information in system CRM, as necessary.
- Regularly schedule and send automated emails to customers, and update for next scheduled contact.
- Regularly schedule media engagement and creative development and consistent posting.
- Work on vendor relationship development, staying current with existing suppliers, capabilities and capacity.
Experience and Key Competencies
- Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Familiarity with telemarketing practices and outbound calling strategies.
- Ability to work independently, and be a highly motivated self-starter.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly. Be a good listener.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining excellent time management skills.
- A proactive approach to business development, with a keen understanding of market trends and customer needs.
- Experience using CRM software or similar tools is preferred but not mandatory.
