Service Rentals & Supplies, Inc. is a locally owned and operated family business servicing the families and businesses of Hawaii for 50 years with six stores located on four islands (Maui, Kauai, Oahu, Hawaii island). Come and join our Team! We are seeking a skilled and friendly Yard Technician to work at our Lahaina Branch as it services our Lahaina community and its recovery.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:

• High School Diploma (GED)

Experience:

• 2 years’ experience working in any combination of the following: golf course, landscape, or hotel grounds maintenance, or automotive maintenance, or construction, etc.
• A Plus: 2 years construction equipment rental and sales experience. Experience working with POS system, Alert.

Skills & Abilities:

• Skilled in performing basic maintenance (checking tires, changing oil, replacing fluids, checking battery, etc.)
• Able to learn to operate and perform higher level maintenance on a wide variety of equipment.
• Able to demonstrate/familiarize customers on safe operation of equipment.
• Friendly and professional customer service skills.
• Basic problem-solving skills and ability to know when to contact Manager and/or mechanics for help or guidance.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Able to pass certified forklift and aerial lift training.
• Team player.
• Able to learn basic computer skills to open emails, clock in and out daily, etc.

Must have valid driver's license.

Responsibilities:
Greet customers and find out what we can help them with, load and unload equipment, conduct basic equipment familiarization for customers, maintain base yard, perform standard maintenance of equipment. Thoroughly inspect returned equipment and tag as hard down, soft down, or ready to rent.

Comply with company policies, procedures, and government and regulatory agency (OSHA) laws and regulations, etc.

Performs all duties and interacts with customers, vendors, and coworkers in a courteous and professional manner.

Physical Demands:
Working outdoors 95% of the time greeting customers, loading and unloading equipment, demonstrating equipment, etc. Lift/carry up equipment, supplies, parts up to 50-90 lbs. with powered hand truck or coworker; bend/stoop/climb occasionally to prep equipment and check equipment readings and controls that are close to ground, etc.
