What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Accountant position at Service Specialists Ltd?
Essential Duties:
- Manage vendor accounts, including setup, database maintenance, reporting, and insurance requirements.
- Process accounts payable, including vouchers, disbursements, and payments.
- Maintain inventory records, process acquisitions, and review assets per depreciation schedules.
- Prepare journal entries, reconcile financial data, and generate reports/statements.
- Oversee financial record-keeping and multi-state corporate registrations/renewals.
- Handle corporate tax reporting, insurance applications, renewals, and requests.
- Provide cross-training support within the Accounting Department.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Manage shared email accounts, categorize and prioritize communications.
- Solve routine issues independently and assist with special projects as assigned.
Key Competencies:
- Strong time management and ability to meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel—advanced formatting, formulas, pivot tables).
- Experience with Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint, Adobe Acrobat, and other financial systems preferred.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with professional etiquette.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of general ledger accounting experience.
- Experience with Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint is a strong plus.
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
