Service Specialists recruiting agency is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (First Assist Certified) to join a premier orthopedic practice based in Oxford and Tupelo. This individual will work alongside an orthopedic surgeon, providing both surgical first assist and comprehensive pre and post operative patient care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for orthopedics, strong surgical skills, and the ability to deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role includes working part-time in Tupelo and part-time in Oxford, with a car stipend provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a First Assist in orthopedic surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Perform pre-operative assessments, including patient evaluations and risk assessments.
- Assist in post-operative care, including wound management, pain management, and follow-up evaluations.
- Conduct patient consultations, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the orthopedic surgeon.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging and laboratory studies.
- Educate patients and families on post-surgical recovery, rehabilitation, and ongoing care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Work closely with the surgical and clinical team to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in clinic setting, orthopedic experience preferred.
- DEA license with no restrictions
- Valid State Nurse Practitioner License
- BLS Certification
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume clinical and surgical setting.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education skills.
Salary: $100k-$115k bonus Strong benefits package
