We seek a highly motivated HVAC Service Manager with a Texas Class A HVAC Contractor license to manage our commercial and industrial jobs in Houston and across Texas. Duties of the HVAC Service Manager include but are not limited to managing our air conditioning and heating repair, installation, and preventive maintenance for both commercial and industrial clients. The ideal candidate should have experience overseeing bids and proposals and managing contracts in various sectors such as commercial, multifamily, hospital, industrial, and data centers. Your expertise in chillers, including centrifugal, reciprocating, air-cooled, water-cooled, and rotary types, will be essential to your success in this role. We want to meet with you if you have at least four years of work experience in HVAC and mechanical companies.
Responsibilities for our HVAC Service Manager:
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Participate in the hiring, training, and coaching of field staff.
- Manage and supervise a team of HVAC technicians.
- Provide technical guidance and support to field technicians.
- Oversee installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, and RTUs.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC issues.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Service Coordinators, and customers to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct on-site inspections and assessments to identify HVAC system requirements and recommend solutions.
- Manage and coordinate with subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Promote a culture of safety and quality workmanship.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid HVAC/R Class A Contractor License.
- Extensive experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including chillers
- In-depth knowledge of centrifugal, reciprocating, air-cooled, and water-cooled chillers.
- Strong understanding of HVAC controls and automation systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Thorough knowledge in preparing bids and estimates for mechanical projects.
