ABOUT US:
- Drive Automotive Services operates 40 full-service auto repair locations in 5 states. Our brands are Service Street, Pride Auto Care, Kerry’s Car Care, Aloha Auto Care, Elite Auto Repair, Pioneer Automotive, Cinco and Fulshear Tire & Auto. Our locations specialize in top-of-the-line automotive repair and maintenance for all makes and models. Our company is looking for qualified Automotive Technician with experience.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifies mechanical problems, either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment.
- Performs tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function; ensures that all critical parts are examined.
- Performs routine and preventive maintenance, including oil changes and tune-ups.
- Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems, such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts.
- Performs further tests, which may include test driving the vehicle, to ensure repairs are completed correctly.
- Provide timely communication with management and team members regarding status and applicable needs and complete repairs in a timely manner.
- All other duties as assigned are based on the needs of the business.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair, manuals, work orders, and service.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
- Must have the ability to perform work in a safe manner and adhere to safety policies.
- Must have initiative and the ability to work in a team environment or independently.
- Must be able to handle pressure and think clearly in all situations.
- Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE:
- Technician certifications.
- Three to five years of related experience highly desire.
