Independently repair and service commercial vehicles from a mechanical vehicle at local distribution center.
- Perform Federal Inspections and general repairs
- Troubleshoot and Repair ABS systems
- Working Daily on dry van trailers
- Perform Preventative maintenance
- Repair and service commercial vehicles from a mechanical vehicle
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years’ experience performing commercial trailer repairs
- Capable of performing federal FMCSA inspections
- Can competently perform wheel end repairs / inspections
- Understanding of air brake systems and components
- Basic electrical / ABS diagnoses and repairs
- Capable of performing heavy and light duty truck wet services
- Capable performing repairs / service in inclement weather / outside environment
- Ability to perform tasks efficiently and timely as directed from management
- Preferred – welding
- Preferred - diagnosing software knowledge
- Must have valid drivers license

Job description –
This position will require a self-sufficient / goal-oriented attitude in order to meet customers needs. Daily tasks will vary depending on schedule. All repairs are expected to be performed safely and confidently. Tech will need to have knowledge in semi-trailer repairs as well as knowledge in truck PM services. These repairs / tasks will be primarily mobile year-round. Tech needs to be able to work well with others, Be able to communicate with customers, and positively represent STTC
