Service Transport Inc. located in Greer, SC is looking to hire a dependable, positive person to join our operations / dispatch team. This person will report directly to our operations manager. He or she will work directly with all levels of dispatch, drivers and management to maintain a positive, highly energetic and productive work environment. STI is a fast paced 24/7 operation dedicated to our customer needs and ever changing logistical challenges. Our Team is motivated to maintaining the highest standards and practices in the logistics industry and is dedicated to employee development. We are looking for the right individual to add to our Great Team.
Weekend Dispatcher Hours are Saturday morning to Monday morning.
Operations / Dispatch Responsibilities and duties
- Must be able to understand and efficiently operate our “Truck Mate” system
- Driver Check-in
- Work Flexible hours as needed including weekends
- Multi task
- Order entry
- Communicate with drivers – driver retention
- Organize daily pick ups – Local, Regional, Outbound, Inbound
- Update any load deviation to operations
- Post loads
- Communicate effectively via phone and e-mail
- Planning / Scheduling
- Dispatch drivers
- Willing to cross train to all dispatch positions
- Lead and Direct others
- PC Miler – knowledge
- Data entry - typing
Qualifications and Skills
- 5 yrs min in a Logistics environment
- Work in a fast pace environment
- Self-Starter
- Team Player
- Organized
- Detailed oriented
