Paint Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Paint Supervisor to lead and manage our prep and painting operations. This role ensures all paint jobs meet high standards of quality, safety, and productivity while fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on leadership style, strong knowledge of industrial paint systems, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

What you would do:

• Leads and supervises the daily operations of the paint department, including both surface prep and painting employees.
• Plans, prioritizes, and delegates work assignments to meet production schedules and customer specifications.
• Ensures proper surface preparation techniques are followed, including sanding, masking, priming, and cleaning.
• Oversee application of paint coatings per technical specs and quality standards.
• Monitor quality control, ensuring painted equipment meets company and industry standards for finish, durability, and appearance.
• Train and mentor employees on equipment use, safety procedures, and prep or painting techniques.
• Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations related to paint and chemical handling.

What we are looking for in a Candidate:

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in industrial painting preferred.
• 3 years of experience in industrial or automotive painting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of painting systems, surface prep techniques, and paint booth operations.
• Ability to read blueprints, paint specifications, and material data sheets.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to lead by example.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (standing, lifting, exposure to fumes/heat, etc.).

Salary : $70,000 - $92,000
