Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in various settings, including commercial and residential spaces. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and facilities maintenance, ensuring that all areas are well-kept and presentable.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to maintain a polished appearance.
• Carry out industrial and commercial cleaning duties as required, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts to promote environmental sustainability.
• Provide porter services as needed, helping with the movement of furniture or equipment within the facility.
• Ensure that all cleaning supplies are stocked and maintained in an organized manner.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.

Experience

• Previous experience in custodial or cleaning roles is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with custodial equipment and cleaning supplies is a plus.
• Skills in residential painting or general maintenance can enhance your application.
• A strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role.
• Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in all tasks performed.
