As a Day Porter, you will be responsible for various cleaning tasks, floor care, and general maintenance duties throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Perform custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas such as lobbies, restrooms, and break rooms.
- Assist with industrial and commercial cleaning tasks as needed.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies throughout the facility.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards while performing all cleaning tasks.
- Provide support in facilities maintenance by addressing minor repairs or reporting issues.
Skills
- Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with buffing equipment and floor care techniques.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact with staff and visitors professionally.
- Basic knowledge of residential painting is an advantage but not required.
