Job purpose

The purpose of this position is to manage overall performance of the branch including marketing, sales, oversight of operations and administrative functions, safety of all branch employees and productivity of office staff and field crews. In addition, this position is responsible to ensure the profitability by forecasting and managing the budget, identifying market trends, ensuring quality control and building/maintaining customer relationships.

Reporting Relationships

  • The Branch Manager shall report directly to the Director of Operations.
  • In the absence of the Branch Manager, the Branch Operations Manager reports to the Director of Operations or Project Manager as Supervisor named by the Branch Manager, while the Branch Manager is gone.
  • All assigned Project Management and Branch Operations Managers report to this position.

Duties and responsibilities

  • The Branch Manager is responsible for the coordination and control of branch production operations, ensuring efficient and profitable operations.
  • Coordination and Control: Marketing and Sales:
  • In conjunction with the Director of Operations, the Marketing Department, Reconstruction Manager and the CEO, ensure that services are marketed to target demographic groups through appropriate media.
  • Ensure estimates prepared by Project Management Personnel are accurate.
  • Ensure all estimates are contacted to achieve an excellent sales closing percentage.
  • Develop and regulate marketing goals and strategic planning in conjunction with Director of Operations.
  • Coordination and Control: Customer Service and Customer Relations:
  • Monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress.
  • Reviews daily production schedule and Production Staff assignments, making any necessary schedule adjustments required to increase efficiency and customer service.
  • Coordinate schedule changes with Customer Service.
  • Ensures all customers are satisfied with all services performed and assist Customer Service and Marketing to efficiently resolve all customer complaints.
  • Maintain contacts with past customers, also contact prospective customers to increase our business, and supervise to ensure Project Managers and Superintendents do the same.
  • Coordination and Control: Physical Equipment:
  • Through the Operations Manager, ensure Production Employees keep equipment in clean and safe operating condition.
  • Ensures the necessary equipment is assigned and available to each project.
  • Coordination and Control: Employees and Subcontractors:
  • Select by promotion or recruitment all personnel who report to the Branch Manager in all aspects of their job requirements, i.e., specific duties, performance, attendance, attitude, and potential capacity for development.
  • Perform formal periodic (not less than 90 days from the start date of each new employee, and annually thereafter) job performance sessions with employees. Make adjustments in compensation based on individual merit.
  • Administer disciplinary action as warranted and established by violation of policies or procedures.
  • Ensure all employees are productively scheduled and assigned to customer projects according to the need of the customer and the ability of the employee.
  • Ensure the safety of all assigned employees by continuously promoting safety, by maintaining all physical plant and equipment for safety, through enforcement of the company’s written safety program, and by conducting regularly scheduled safety meetings with production personnel.
  • Ensure that all assigned employees are properly trained to effectively and productively carry out assigned tasks through a formal training program.
  • Terminate personnel if warranted by overall performance.
  • Ensure the quality and performance of all subcontractors.
  • Improve operations by developing and/or enhancing intra-branch relationships.

  • Financial:
  • Conducts branch operational audits, quality and operation assessments and develops corrective action plans on sight.
  • Assist Project Managers with large loss claims and or surge in new losses including scoping and estimating.
  • Adhere to and enforce all company policies specified in the Employee handbook and RRH safety manual.
  • Together with the Director of Operations and President, ensure variable expenses (labor and supplies) meet budgeted target percentages.
  • Establish weekly production goals for each Service Division. Provide the Director of Operations with weekly metrics monitoring the performance of the division.

Qualifications

The educational requirements are, but not limited to, as follows:

  • Required: College Degree
  • Preferred: Four Year Degree in Business Management

The experiential requirements are, but not limited to, as follows:

  • Required: Previous production, sales, and management experience.
  • Preferred: Previous project management experience.

The licensing/registration/certification requirements for this position are, but not limited to, as follows:

  • Required: Valid Driver’s License
  • Preferred: None

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Must also have a functional understanding of handheld smart devices and an aptitude for learning new technology and all applicable software as determined.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong communication skills.

Physical and Mental requirements

  • Body Positions: Standing, sitting and crouching.
  • Body Movements: Walking, bending, reaching, grasping, lifting, flexing and bending arms, legs, hands, and fingers, and driving.
  • Body Senses: Must be able to see, hear, speak, and smell.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds

The requirements are, but not limited to, as follows:

  • Mental: Must have the capacity to conduct customer conversation,

manage temporary laborers, complete simple mathematical calculations, and complete paperwork.

  • Language: Must be able to understand directions and engage in reasonable conversations with clients, employees, and management.
  • Mechanical: Must have mechanical aptitude.

Measurement of Performance

The measure of performance of the Restoration Technician is, but not limited to, as follows:

  • Meeting coordination and control objectives for all Branch operations, including but not limited to established objectives for Client Projects and Customer Relations, Physical Plant and Equipment, Employees and Subcontractors, and financial performance.
  • Operation of the Branch in a profitable manner.
  • The state of morale and spirit of employee cooperation within the branch. This includes the degree of cooperation, communication and coordination between branches and departments.
  • Demonstrated capacity and ability to establish and maintain stability in the production and sales departments.
  • Meeting all production forecasts within a 5 % variance. Exceptional performance will be measured by exceeding the sales forecasts by 10 %.
  • Meet the required metrics from the Dashboard.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
