Position Summary
As an Emergency Response Manager, you will be the first point of contact for customers following fire and water emergencies. This fast-paced role focuses on rapidly responding to unsold leads, identifying new opportunities, and building strong relationships to convert leads into customers. Representing our company onsite, you will offer support and guidance while promoting our services to restore homes and lives. When disaster strikes, basic needs like food, shelter, and clothing become priorities. ServiceMaster Elite partners with homeowners and insurance professionals to help put the pieces back together, prioritizing health and safety while providing the comfort that everything else can be restored or replaced. This position offers commission-based earnings.
Responsibilities
- As first on site, serve as the primary point of contact during emergencies, providing clear and timely communication to all involved parties.
- Coordinate with appropriate team members to ensure the deployment of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to disaster sites.
- Communicate and coordinate client services with empathy, compassion, and care.
- Conduct damage assessments and prioritize restoration efforts based on severity and impact, including performing immediate board up services.
- Ensure effective communication among team members and stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports on progress.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients and vendors to ensure timely procurement of goods and services.
- Meets with the Production managers monthly to collaborate on how to improve communications and response times
- Assists Production managers to address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the restoration process.
- Other duties as assigned or apparent.
Skills/Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this sales position will have experience in insurance claims or the restoration industry. Insurance adjuster knowledge a plus.
Required
- Fundamental understanding of outside sales and business-to-business sales tactics and techniques.
- Strong skills in prioritization, account forecasting and planning, negotiation, consultative selling, and superior organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision, demonstrating self-motivation, goal orientation, and effectiveness in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to work after hours and be on-call after normal business hours
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and tools for lead generation. Digitally literate
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
Preferred
- 2 years of proven experience in business-to-business outside sales, business development, or a related role (experience in emergency restoration is a plus).
- Previous experience in restoration, construction, or related industry
- IICRC Certification(s)
- Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in moving and logistics
- Fluent in industry standards and protocols
- Fluency in both English and Spanish
Work Environment
This is an in-field position that requires frequent travel to and from active jobsites. Jobsites may contain asbestos, microbial growth, lead, or other hazardous materials; personal protective equipment or PPE will be provided.
Jobsites may or may not have electricity; expect to work in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
Physical Demands
This position will typically require the employee to stand or walk for extended periods of time and may involve heavy manual labor. Expect to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift, push, pull, and carry items often for this position.
