Position Overview
ServiceMaster Restore is in the business of helping people to restore their lives and property after a devastating loss. Our technicians are heroes, and we're looking to expand our team of heroes right now. This is can be a career opportunity for an eager self starter with a great attitude and construction skills. We're a full service restoration company that will take a residential or commercial water or fire loss from the first response through final reconstruction. We're specifically looking for someone with construction experience but who will also occasionally work on the mitigation side monitoring equipment, performing drying tasks, doing demolition, and various water, mold and fire restoration activities. Restoration Technicians learn to complete some project documentation including notes, photos and forms to ensure payment from insurance companies, as well as direct customers. The best Restoration Technicians advance to project manager roles. The growth potential is unlimited.

Job Responsibilities

• Works alongside a team of trained technicians led by a 30 year industry veteran,
• Often works directly with upset individuals who have experienced water or fire damage to their residence.
• Completes assigned jobs according to company processes while maintaining quality control on each job with urgency
• Performs damage repair and other tasks including light construction and demolition as directed by a supervisor
• Communicates customer issues and daily job activities with key company staff
• Will need to be available occasional nights or weekends to be part of an emergency response team.

Job Requirements

• Must be enthusiastic and have a great attitude.
• Must be interested in helping people whose lives have been turned upside down.
• Excellent communication skills
• Good problem solving and customer service skills
• High school graduate (or with equivalent experience) who wants to learn to be one of the industry's best restoration technicians.
• Experience in the restoration or construction industry is required
• Valid Drivers’ License, reliable transportation and satisfactory driving record are required. Must be able to pass a background check.
• Experience with entering data using a tablet or mobile phone is helpful
• Reliability is critical. Must report to work on time daily in a clean, complete uniform that we provide
• Industry certifications are not required, but we will train the right person.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Applicant must be prepared to:

• Move up to 70 pounds often by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time. Lifting, squatting, crawling and crouching are required.
• Exchange ideas with others and receive and act on detailed information given.
• From time to time wear a respirator, which is used in certain situations, and it must be able to seal to your face.
• Work both inside and outside with or without air conditioning or heating.
