Job Summary
ServiceMaster, a leader in the disaster restoration services, is seeking an Estimator for our Canton, GA location. The ideal candidate will have residential insurance restoration (construction, smoke, fire, water damage) estimating experience in both mitigation and repairs. This position will strive to maximize customer satisfaction, revenue, growth and profitability for the company through accurate estimating.
Responsibilities
- This position will strive to maximize customer satisfaction, revenue, growth and profitability for the company through accurate estimating
- Inspect losses, determine the appropriate scope of work, and write an estimate for a fire, water or construction loss utilizing Xactimate Estimating software and sometimes Symbility estimating software
- Develop and maintain a business relationship with insurance adjusters
- Serve as primary liaison between the customer and insurance carrier
- Manage the job update process using Xactanalysis and Dash platforms
- Participate in on-call rotation
- Work with project managers to develop supplements as needed
- Communicate with adjusters and team members to aid in job completion
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have residential insurance restoration (construction, smoke, fire, water damage) estimating experience in both mitigation and repairs
- Must be able to inspect losses in the field in potentially hazardous situations
- Must be able to scope of loss with details needed to write a detailed estimate
- Must have a knowledge of construction and fire and water damage mitigation
- Good customer service skills
- Must obtain a sense of urgency, problem solving and decision making
- Must be familiar with Windows and Microsoft Office software, Xactimate, Symbility, Mica, and Dash
- Must possess excellent written and verbal skills
- Working knowledge of basic office equipment
- Must be able to learn and utilize our proprietary software; Dash and others as necessary
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
