Pay: $19/per hour
The Culinary Job Coach is teaching and coaching a team of individuals with autism and developmental challenges, helping them gain work experience in a commercial kitchen/café environment.
Key areas of focus are leading day to day café operations with an emphasis on quality and customer service, assisting and supporting the facilitation of culinary education curriculum including menu and recipe development, complying with applicable regulatory statutes, and supporting culinary operations at the Rooster Cafe.

Key areas of focus are leading day to day café operations with an emphasis on quality and customer service, assisting and supporting the facilitation of culinary education curriculum including menu and recipe development, complying with applicable regulatory statutes, and supporting culinary operations at the Rooster Cafe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under the supervision of the Director of Culinary Operations responsible for supervising the implementation of vocational support plans for disabled individuals working in ServiceNet-owned food related businesses.
- Maintaining a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a supportive and respectful manner at all times with people served by the program, including the community, customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Supervise, coach and mentor culinary trainees and develop their skills related to properly performing work tasks while furthering their culinary education.
- Working with culinary trainees and staff to develop problem solving strategies to facilitate continued growth.
- Responding quickly and effectively to emergency situations.
- Maintain high level of care of company assets.
- Attending monthly staff meetings, supervisory sessions, and other meetings as scheduled.
- Enforcing program regulations and policies.
- Upholding client confidentiality and following applicable HIPAA guidelines.
- Maintaining regular communication with culinary trainees, their support providers and families.
- Support daily café, catering and retail operations
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
- Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
- Maintaining an acceptable attendance record.
- All other relevant duties as assigned by the Director of Vocational Services or their designee
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and comfort with using a company vehicle for transportation tasks.
- Food Service or culinary experience is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism is preferred.
- Excellent supervision, mentoring, and coaching skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with a diverse team.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a flexible approach to teaching and learning.
- Relevant certifications in culinary arts, such as ServSafe, are a plus.
