ServicePoint has a customer seeking a Network Data Engineer for a 6 month 100% onsite CONTRACT TO HIRE position located in Westminster CO.
This is an 8AM-5PM Monday-Friday position (with OT as needed) and is a contract to hire so US Citizen or Green Card Holders only.
Travel maybe once a month to other locations in CO – may not even be that frequent. They do have locations in 4 other states but travel there will be very min.
Scope : Responsible for the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of enterprise voice and data networks to support operational and business objectives. This role encompasses hands-on engineering for voice, data, and industrial systems integration. It ensures network reliability, scalability, and security while aligning with the organization’s strategic architecture. This role focuses on deploying and maintaining voice and data solutions using advanced technologies such as VoIP, LAN / WAN, IP / MPLS, DWDM, and SCADA systems, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity and regulatory standards like NERC CIP.
Responsibilities :
Implement and manage enterprise voice and data network solutions, including VoIP, LAN, WAN, and IP / MPLS technologies.
Configure, test, and deploy network hardware and software components in alignment with architectural plans.
Monitor and troubleshoot network systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Collaborate with the Senior Network Architect to execute strategic network designs and enhancements.
Provide technical support and maintenance for operational technologies such as SCADA systems and AMI.
Partner with cybersecurity teams to implement security protocols and address vulnerabilities.
Identify opportunities for network optimization and implement performance improvements.
Participate in the development, test, and maintenance of disaster recovery and redundancy plans to ensure network resilience.
Support incident response efforts for network outages and security events.
Maintain accurate records of network configurations, incidents, and performance metrics.
Generate reports on network status, project progress, and compliance for management review.
Assist with cross-functional projects, providing voice and data expertise.
Respond to emergency issues as part of the on-call rotation, ensuring continuous service availability.
Maintain inventory of network assets and related technical specifications.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures and attain knowledge and remain knowledgeable of regulations, laws, standards, and best practices applicable to functional area.

Qualifications :
Education and Training :
Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent preferred.
Knowledge and Experience :
Eight (8) years’ experience implementing and managing voice and data networks.
Extensive experience in designing and managing enterprise and industrial-level network architectures.
Deep knowledge of network protocols, infrastructure, and security practices, including MPLS, SD-WAN, and cloud integrations.
Familiarity with utility-specific technologies and standards, such as SCADA systems and NERC CIP compliance.
Some Voice Engineering experience is a huge plus and these candidates will be considered first.

Willingness to travel as required for project work and meetings throughout service territory by posing a current valid driver's license. Must be able to physically deploy routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and other networking devices.
