Scope of Work: ServicePoint has a customer seeking a Junior Administrator for a 6 month temp to hire opportunity located in Aurora Colorado.
The hours are as follows and will require 100% onsite:
- Mon-Thur. 9 hours (start time can be flexible between 7:30-9am).
- Fri – 4 hours – (start time flexible)
This Desktop Support Tech/Jr. Administrator will be responsible for baseline, maintenance, security, and will be providing desktop support.
This is a small family-owned organization, and they really want a jack of all trades who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves. Must be onsite 5 days a week – no flex. They did mention someone who is newer in this type of role but has seen a server could work. Junior to mid-level resource who is hungry to learn. Primary responsibilities are as follows:
- Sustain networks that integrate governance, compliance, risk controls and oversight to enhance separation. (They did have a cyber attack and are working to get network back online.)
- Design, test, baseline, monitor and upgrade network hardware including servers, storage, peripherals, routers, switches, network nodes of all network infrastructure.
- Configuration, test, baseline and management of network infrastructure including Firewalls, Remote Access, Wi-Fi. Update documentation.
- Provide desktop support for Windows applications, virtualization, network connectivity, remote access, Intranet, email, user administration, VoIP phone system, network printing, faxing, and any other hardware/software issues.
- Perform other network administration duties, networking equipment updates, mitigation, identification and troubleshooting of system issues, network equipment asset management, performance tuning, and change management. Perform audits with network scanning tools.
Qualifications:
- US Citizen or Green Card Holders Only
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science / IT or Business, or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years hands on experience.
- Knowledge of network performance monitoring applications.
- Past experience providing desktop support for Windows applications
- Knowledge of security products like malware protection, and web filtering.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task multiple projects in a time sensitive production environment where downtime protocols must be followed.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with a can do attitude
