ServicePoint has a customer seeking a QA Tester for a 6-12 month opportunity located preferably in Atlanta GA but the customer would be open to Princeton NJ as well.
This is a 100% onsite position working 8AM-5PM for the duration. This role is part of the Quality Control (QC) workstream within the Digital Workplace-Solutions & Control-Release, Standards & Risk Management sub-chapter. The senior-level QA Tester plays a key role in ensuring the quality of hardware and software products by creating and executing test plans, identifying, and reporting issues and collaborating with key stakeholders to resolve them. We ensure that end-user impacting changes and projects are properly vetted and verified prior to being released into production and that all parties are unified and standardized to manage risk, and continuously strive for improvement.
The responsibilities are as follows:
- Lead QA Testing Requirement and Triage meetings
- Review and analyze product specifications and requirements
- Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Perform manual testing on software and hardware products
- Use various tools and equipment to test hardware functionality and compatibility
- Identify, document, and report bugs, errors, and defects
- Track and monitor issues until resolution
- Evaluate test results and generate test reports
- Communicate test findings and recommendations to stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the product life cycle
- Identify, analyze, and prepare risk mitigation tactics
- Conduct impact analysis to assess product readiness
- Create benchmarks to assess quality control of product
- Provide key stakeholders feedback reporting
- Define and measure success metrics using Smartsheet, MS Form, etc.
- Review product or service changes for other end-user impacting teams – outside of DW - to avoid unnecessary overlap
- Partner with the Release Strategy workstream to track and report issues that can delay deployment
- Identify and manage anticipated resistance
Qualifications:
- 5 years of proven experience as a manual QA tester for software and hardware products; automated testing is a plus
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
- Knowledge of various hardware (PC, Laptop, Chromebook, iPhone/iPad) and operating systems (Windows, MacOS, iOS preferred / Linux and ChromeOS a plus but not a requirement)
- Familiarity with hardware interfaces and protocols, such as USB, HDMI, Ethernet, etc.
