Maintenance Technician (Straight 8-hour shift)

Are you tired of working swing shift or 2/2/3 schedule? We have straight 8-hour shifts, so you always know what hours you are working. ONLY work rotational weekends, not every weekend! If this sounds like something you are interested in, we would love to see your application.

What will you be doing?

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on converting and packaging machines - this requires a strong aptitude for both electrical systems and mechanical maintenance
• Sets up production equipment per predetermined layouts and centerlines.
• Performs preventative maintenance (PM) on all machinery and equipment.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts.
• Sets up and operates welder, mill, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
• Sets up new equipment lines and equipment change overs.
• Orders parts when needed to keep inventory stocked.
• Reads and interprets documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Performs inspections of fire systems as needed.
• PLC Programming
• Identify opportunities for improving equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements.
• Adhere to all safety protocols report to management any safety hazards or violations.
• Collaborate with production and other departments to support operational needs.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing setting
• PLC programming and machine control knowledge.
• Ability to read, analyze and when necessary, create/modify electrical schematics.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Mechanical aptitude
• Robotics experience – complex machinery & equipment
• Safety focus
• Ability to work independently with little instruction

What do the shifts look like?

1st Shift: 7am-3pm (Monday thru Friday)

2nd Shift: 3pm – 11pm (Monday thru Friday)

3rd Shift: 11pm-7am (Sunday thru Thursday)

Wage starts at $30.00 an hour and increases based on experience. There will be a mechanical test during the interview process to help determine wage based on skills. Let's talk about your wage requirements.
