Employment Consultants assist individuals with disabilities in obtaining and maintaining competitive employment, across a variety of industries from food service and retail to tech and pharmaceutical.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
Responsible for providing direct services to students with disabilities ages 14-22 enrolled in the Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) program. Career coach meets with students individually or in groups, providing services in the 5 areas outlined by WIOA regulations :
- Job exploration and counseling
- Work-based learning
- Workplace readiness
- Instruction in self-advocacy
- Post-secondary education counseling
