Reporting to the VP of Platform, this role is crucial for ServiceTitan's next phase of growth and scale. We are sitting on a vibrant set of functionality and customer use cases that ServiceTitan will need to construct, enhance, and scale 10X. For this upcoming phase of our continued growth, our software platform requires a transformation to a fully distributed set of service domains (powered by Micro / Macro-services) with clean, well-defined interfaces and independent operational and scale characteristics.
This role is chartered to lead this transformation by defining the shape of our North Star distributed systems architecture, including technology choices, scaffolding services, monitoring tools, logging and tracing systems, API gateways, keys and certificate management paradigms, definition of bounded contexts and inter-service call patterns.
This leadership role will be on point for technical leadership across our Infrastructure Platform, SRE, Operations Center, and Tools teams to deliver a multi-region, high availability, disaster-recoverable infrastructure platform and product foundation atop Azure, our underlying cloud substrate.
What you'll do :
- Technical ownership of system architecture target state, roadmap, execution, and evolution as we move to a distributed system with bounded Contexts and Microservices across our infrastructure and platform layers to build out our cloud-based stack for scale, performance, and security.
- Key leader of the "Technical Architecture Group" for the company, including advising, aligning, and streamlining key decisions for shared technology in partnership with Engineering management and other Principal Architects.
- Unifying our vision and aligning all engineers around a focused set of architectural principles.
- Essential hands-on code ownership of a few crucial components of our technical stack.
- Work closely with Recruiting - in particular, interview candidates and co-own activities related to lead generation (e.g. tech talks) and screening (HackerRank tests)
- Frequently present at public venues, including internal technology sessions, conferences, executive meetings, and customer briefings explaining our technology, product, and stack.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, engineers, Product Managers, customers, and partners
- A key mentor and guide for engineers across engineering as a whole.
- Participate in technical calibration sessions.
- Contribute to the roadmap and resource planning
- Review, advise, and coach teams in Platform and Infrastructure on architecture and design to ensure the engineering teams are building correctly for scale, performance, and cost.
What you'll bring :
Microsoft .NET technology stack (C# / .NET, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs) and SQL databases (Microsoft SQL Server or any other) preferred. (Java based stack experience acceptable with a keen adaptability for new technologies.)

ServiceTitan is committed to fair and equitable compensation for all of our employees. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in the United States is between $242,000 USD - $302,000 USD. Compensation for candidates residing outside the United States will vary by location and the specific salary range will be discussed during the hiring process. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits.
