Then, our current opening for Dining Site Coordinator (part-time-20 hrs per week) may just be the job for you! Join our team at Serving Older Adults of Southeast Wisconsin (SOA) at our Washington Park Senior Center located at 4420 W Vliet St, Milwaukee. Hours are primarily 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, with occasional meetings after these hours.
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Center Manager, the Dining Site Coordinator is responsible for the overall daily operations of the SOA Dining Program at Washington Park Senior Center and will provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere at the Senior Dining Site as well as promote a festive atmosphere while serving lunches for senior participants. Meals are prepared offsite and delivered to our Center, Monday-Friday.
Requirements:
The Dining Site Coordinator works to maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen and dining site at all times. They will oversee the full coordination and execution of daily meals, ensure that safe food practices are always followed, manage dining volunteers, maintain inventory of dining supplies, and maintain accurate documentation of meals served and produce timely reports.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; a minimum of two years food service experience; demonstrated ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and accurately; demonstrated skill in maintaining accurate records; ability to obtain Serve Safe certification within 60 days of hire. Must be able to stand for hours at a time, lift and carry hot and heavy pans of food up to 30 pounds, bend, squat, sit and reach. Basic computer skills, reliable transportation and use of general office equipment preferred. In evaluating candidates for this position, SOA may consider a combination of education, training and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential duties of the position.
