Position Job Title: Part Time Bookkeeper/Accountant
Pay Range: $25 - $30 per hour – premium for nonprofit experience
Reports to: Executive Director
Status: Part Time, on site, approximately 24 hours per week, accommodating schedule

Position Summary
The Part-time Accountant will be responsible for managing daily accounting tasks, maintaining accurate and detailed financial records, maintaining Quickbooks online, ensuring compliance with HUD and foundation grant guidelines, and overseeing basic office operations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Maintain accurate financial records through Quickbooks online, including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Coordinate with external accounting services and auditors and provide necessary documentation.
- Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal use and grant reporting.
- Help manage budgeting processes, track expenses and ensure adherence to financial plans.
- Ensure compliance with HUD, foundation, and donor requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of grant-related financial reports.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping, with nonprofit experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Familiarity with HUD regulations and grant management is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
- High level of integrity and commitment to the mission and values of SPIN
- Excellent attention to detail
