Job Description
Hancock Grammar School is seeking a dedicated and skilled Math Literacy Interventionist to join our team!
This position plays a critical role in supporting students who need additional help developing their math and literacy skills.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, self-directed professional with a strong understanding of foundational literacy and math skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement targeted math and literacy interventions tailored to individual student needs.
- Provide push-in and pull-out support to small groups of students as needed.
- Utilize data to assess students, monitor progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to identify students requiring Tier II and Tier III interventions and integrate support within the classroom setting.
- Maintain detailed documentation and records of student progress, interventions, and outcomes.
- Research, select, and apply evidence-based programs and practices without direct oversight.
- Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and day-to-day tasks to prioritize the needs of students and teachers.
- Participate in the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework and contribute to data-driven discussions.
- Exhibit leadership by mentoring colleagues, sharing best practices, and contributing to a positive school culture.
- Minimum 3 years of successful classroom teaching experience.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; respected by staff and able to collaborate effectively across grade levels.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Specialized training in literacy and math interventions preferred, including current best practices.
- Familiarity with evidence-based math and literacy programs and strategies.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional learning.
- Strong understanding of MTSS
- Flexibility to adapt to frequent changes in schedule and priorities.
