Job Posting : Long-Term Substitute Music Teacher, 2 days per week (Wednesday and Thursday)
Readfield Elementary School
RSU #38 is looking for a highly motivated long-term substitute music teacher to join a team of creative, talented music educators. The ideal candidate will have a true desire to implement a high quality choral and instrumental program to elementary level students as part of the unified arts program, and will have an opportunity to collaborate with other professionals to integrate music culture and history with the general education program. This is a temporary position through the end of the school year, June 2025.
Job Goal : To implement a high quality, fun and engaging music curriculum that engages and accommodates all student needs, abilities and learning styles.
Qualifications :
- Experience and desire to offer an appropriate and challenging curriculum that builds on basic skills needed for students to succeed.
- Team player who is willing to collaborate with other professionals in order to benefit students.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A true passion for teaching music.
Certification : Teacher certification is not required, but substitute teaching experience in the field of music is preferred.
