As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist at Kid O'Therapy, LLC, you will play a crucial role in helping children achieve their developmental milestones and improve their functional abilities. You will work with children from infancy to adolescence in a variety of settings at our clinic and local schools, helping children with a variety of physical, developmental, sensory, and cognitive conditions. We are looking for a therapist with a minimum of one to three years or more experience in the field of occupational therapy working with children with sensory, feeding difficulties, social/emotional, and behavioral challenges.

You will work with children from infancy to adolescence in a variety of settings at our clinic and local schools, helping children with a variety of physical, developmental, sensory, and cognitive conditions. We are looking for a therapist with a minimum of one to three years or more experience in the field of occupational therapy working with children with sensory, feeding difficulties, social/emotional, and behavioral challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- The right candidate needs to be flexible, self-motivated, organized, a team player, and enjoy working with children.
- Conducted comprehensive assessments and treatment plans for children's motor, sensory, social/emotional, and cognitive abilities and developmental milestones.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions to address fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care tasks, and adaptive behaviors.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to create a supportive and effective care plan
- Be able to provide efficient point-of-service documentation for daily notes, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards in a timely manner.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and evaluate patient progress
- Stay current with the latest research and best practices in pediatric occupational therapy
- Have good computer skills and knowledge for daily efficiency using technology.
- Treating children with respect and patience is needed when working with this population.

- Be able to supervise a COTA (certified occupational therapy assistant)
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current State of Maine License to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- 1-3 years of experience working with children in pediatrics, preferably in an outpatient clinical or educational setting. Mentorship for new graduates.
- Strong understanding of child development and pediatric conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Skills to work effectively and efficiently with the team, children, and their families.
- Proficiency using technology, multi-tasking with documentation, and using electronic medical records
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Must pass a fingerprinting background check.
