Job Summary
Work is to support Research & Development staff in testing products for the personal care R&D group. Sample preparation, testing, and data analysis help is needed. The individual will work in a chemistry lab, taking direction from team members to make small batches and operate test equipment as necessary. Requires some general laboratory skills (use of balances and small equipment operation) or special skills taught by Company. Can follow rules and directions regarding recording data (no white out--cross through and initial mistakes, always use black [preferred] or blue ink), dating work (month, day, & year). Requires substantial independent judgment. With moderate instruction, must be able to perform routine testing and work with specific instrumentation (i.e. spray characterization testing, particle size analysis, etc.)
Duties
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures following standard operating protocols
- Collect, analyze, and document research data accurately
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning
- Assist in the preparation of samples for analysis
- Follow GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) and adhere to FDA regulations
- Conduct quality control checks on laboratory materials and equipment
Skills
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of animal physiology for relevant research studies
- Familiarity with scientific research methodologies
- Understanding of GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) guidelines
- Ability to work effectively in a research laboratory setting
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection
- Capability to follow standard operating procedures and maintain documentation
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
