What is the Role?

We are looking for a Senior Estimator to join our Estimating Department. You will be responsible for preparing estimates in Xactimate for commercial large losses and reconstruction jobs.

This role is onsite with our estimating department based in Encino. From time to time you will travel to job sites to perform estimating work in the field.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering estimates on time and within team’s agreed upon SLAs. This includes but is not limited to
• Reviewing project documentation provided by customer/ client.
• Conducting site visits, as needed.
• Communicating with restoration contractors or other sub-contractors, as needed.
• Providing detailed, line-item scope and estimate for items within the project.
• Flagging areas to your manager that are uncertain or need further investigation.
• Documenting all dimensions, diagrams, and images of each room or section.
• Identifying and documenting all tasks that must be performed in each room or section.
• Identifying and documenting any exclusions; where work to be performed may be out of scope or additional.
• Seeking estimates approval by your manager and when needed by executive management.
• Partnering with Claims Managers to discuss scope of work with the customer when needed (eg resolving disputes, clarifying work performed or work to be performed etc).
• Reviewing project requirements. Including but not limited to
• National Account bulletins,
• Performing estimate uploads to SERVPRO corporate and/or insurance carriers,
• insurance company requirements,
• permitting requirements etc. that may be applicable to project.
  

What is required?

• Bachelor’s Degree Business Administration or relevant field preferred
• A minimum of five years of estimating using Xactimate. Specifically for large, complex, commercial projects
• Strong process and results-driven attitude
• Experience in the cleaning, restoration, insurance, or large loss adjustor is is preferred
• Prior experience as a public adjustor is a plus
• Xactimate® (5 years experience is required)
• level 3 certification is a plus
• Self-starter & proactive
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Not afraid to jump in where needed - no task is too big or too small for you, and you are willing to help your team before you are asked
• Must be able to work in person at our Encino office 5 days per week and commute to job sites when needed
• Comfortable managing up, dealing with ambiguity, and working on tight timelines
• You are able to juggle multiple projects and priorities with ease
• You are authorized to work lawfully in the United States and you are able to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law
  
  

Salary: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 / year
