What is the Role?
We are looking for a lead technician to join our Emergency Services team in South Carolina.
You will be responsible for managing and overseeing all phases of our mitigation / emergency services projects, including assigning, coordinating and performing work activities on all EMS / mitigation jobs.
Your work will be primarily in the field, on job sites.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing day to day client interactions and expectations to ensure work is completed promptly and to customers level of satisfaction
- Communicating clear expectations to technicians on job sites and supervising their activities.
- Identifying safety hazards, communicating, and establishing control measures to ensure the safety of occupants and workers.
- Following and overseeing safe work practices and adherence to safety and risk management guidelines.
- Documenting a detailed and accurate job file to support the services provided.
- Managing and controlling labor and consumable usage on assigned projects.
- Managing assets by protecting and using equipment and materials properly.
- Train Restoration technicians.
- Communicating with necessary stake holders on project progress and issues.
- Performing daily, weekly, and monthly vehicle maintenance and equipment maintenance, as assigned.
What is required?
- IICRC certifications preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in cleaning, restoration, or construction.
- Experience in a supervisor role preferred
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Regularly lifting 50 pounds independently, occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance, walking and standing for long periods of time, driving, sitting, climbing ladders, working at ceiling heights, working in tight spaces (i.e. crawl spaces, attics), repetitive pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying objects, working with and around chemicals, and working overhead.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions such as heat, noxious odors, etc. The noise level in the work environment and jobsites may be loud. The employee will be required to occasionally wear a respirator for their safety.
- Normal Working Hours, Additional Working Hours and Travel Requirements:
- This is a full-time position working 7:00 a.m. –4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, up to 40 hours per week. This position frequently requires long hours (beyond 8 hours a day), including some evening and weekend work. Travel is required and is primarily local. However, some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
- You are authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
Salary: $23.00 -$25.00 per hour, based on experience.
