General Counsel Associate Director

Job Description:
As the Senior Corporate Attorney, you will work closely with the Chief Legal Officer to oversee general corporate legal and risk management tasks. This role requires expertise in franchise law, contract negotiation, and compliance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and draft national account program contracts for insurance carriers, commercial accounts, and government agencies.
• Ensure timely filing of franchise registrations with relevant states.
• Maintain up-to-date in-house materials and training on franchise disclosure laws and requirements.
• Validate compliance with franchise regulations and state laws.
• Oversee licensing of new franchises and modifications to franchise license agreements.
• Prepare and review legal documents as needed.

Requirements:

• Active law degree and licensure in Tennessee or reciprocal licensure.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Minimum five years of experience in franchise law with a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Proven experience in preparing franchise disclosure documents, managing state registrations, and developing agreements.
• Negotiation skills for national account contracts with large commercial or insurance carrier parties.
