Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our growing team. The Estimator plays a vital role in assessing damages, preparing detailed cost estimates, and ensuring restoration projects are executed efficiently and professionally. The ideal candidate will have experience with industry-specific estimating software and a background in construction or restoration.
This is a full-time position offering a competitive base salary plus the opportunity to earn significant commissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial job site visits to document damages and determine the scope of work required.
- Prepare detailed estimates for restoration, reconstruction, and specialty cleaning jobs using Xactimate (Verisk) and Symbility (CoreLogic) software.
- Collaborate with Production Managers to track project timelines, ensuring all documentation and project details are accurate.
- Maintain strong communication with property owners to provide updates and exceptional customer service.
- Liaise with insurance adjusters to review and revise estimates as needed, ensuring alignment with insurance requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and building codes relevant to the restoration and construction sectors.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience with Xactimate (Verisk) software.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or technical training preferred.
- Prior experience in the restoration or construction industry is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Base Salary : $65,000 per year
- Commission : average additional $40,000 annually
