SUMMARY
Performs carpentry work and labor on projects, works in conjunction with other carpenters and laborers, orders and picks up materials when necessary, and adheres to all OSHA and company safety standards.
REQUIREMENTS
The Carpenter should be a take-charge individual who is attentive to detail, organized, and able to handle the duties and responsibilities outlined below. This person should possess at least five years of carpentry experience, have a good working knowledge of all building trades, and have the ability to interact well with customers and coworkers. A valid driver’s license, including a good driving record, is also necessary. The Carpenter should be available for extended work hours as required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform the carpentry and labor to complete projects on time and within budget without sacrificing quality or customer satisfaction.
• Assist other carpenters and laborers as needed.
• Understand project paperwork, including plans, specifications, and change orders.
• Coordinate work with subcontractors.
• Order and pick up materials unless the production manager has already done so.
• Verify the accuracy in quantity and measurement of deliveries received. Determine if any deliveries have been damaged.
• Notify the production manager when major problems arise.
• Keep the job-site clean.
• Protect the customer’s property.
• Follow all OSHA and company safety standards.
• Handle building code inspections if the production manager is unavailable.
• Operate tools and equipment.
• Maintain the appearance and operation of personal and company tools.
• If a company truck is assigned to you, make sure it is adequately stocked and properly maintained. Record mileage in a log.
• Report to the production manager daily.
• Wear shirts portraying the company name and logo.
• Ensure that a job name is on all material tickets.
• Turn in material tickets each day.
• Turn in a time sheet each day.
• Make a positive impression on both the customers and the community at large.
WORK SCHEDULE:
This is a full-time position working 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position may require longer hours and some flexibility in hours may be needed dependent upon the business needs.

Although a specific job on a given day may not be require physical demands as listed. All associates are required to be able to perform any part other job. All Associates may be moved from one position to another as production requires.
Project Managers immediate supervisor is the Operations Manager of the office they are based in.
When working offsite away from your home base office you will indirectly report to that local offices Operation Manager. When traveling with DRT you indirect supervisor will be the DRT Project Manager.
Indirect line of authority: production technicians.
