We are a large loss cleaning and restoration company located in Franklin NC with coverage across 14 counties in Western NC.
The Estimator provides direct support to help managers and owners on residential and commercial restoration projects. This includes estimating and documentation to assist in managing local projects.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide professional estimating services in the industry's standard Xactimate estimating platform.Reviews project documentation provided by customer or the client.Conducts site visits, as needed.Communicates with restoration team members and customers, as needed.Documents and reports findings based on industry standards.Provides detailed, line-item scope and estimate for all items within the project.Identifies general project requirements and / or constraints to bring the structure and contents back to pre-loss conditions.Divides project into sections to make the scope more manageable.Documents all dimensions, diagrams, and images of each room or section, and uses industry standard Docusketch on selected projects.Identifies and documents all tasks that must be performed in each room or section.Identifies and documents any exclusions; what will not be part of your scope of work.Discusses scope of work with the customer.Reviews project requirements (National Account bulletins, insurance company requirements, local agreements) that may be applicable to the project.Creates the project estimate using agreed upon estimating platform.Complies and submits project proposal packet to ownership for submission to the client.Education and Experience Requirements
Minimum two (2) years’ experience required in claims management and / or estimating.Xactimate® required, Docusketch.Experience in estimating projects.Ability to travel daily by automobile, must have no issues valid driver’s license.Intermediate problem-solving skills including proper scope of work, general constraints to include the structure and contents.Detail oriented with an emphasis on project management, building codes, and documentation of all areas of project management.Normal Working Hours, Additional Working Hours, and Travel Requirements
This is a full-time position working hours varying between 7 : 00 a.m. and 7 : 00 p.m., Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week minimum, with some weekend and / or holiday work required during storm events. Travel may be required.
